Heart of America Chapter HIMSS

HOA is one of about 40+ HIMSS Chapters across the country and in Canada. HIMSS Chapters strive to bring health care systems professionals together in a local forum to:

• discuss issues and developments
• learn about best practices and other tools
• network with others having similar experiences
• build relationships between individuals from a variety of disciplines
• organize efforts to keep current regarding legislation affecting technical areas
HIMSS Heart of America Chapter Territory includes Eastern Kansas, Western Missouri, Southeast Nebraska, and Southwest Iowa. Current board members are listed on the Board of Directors Web page.

The 2001/2002 fiscal years marked a first for HIMSS Unified Membership. As a HIMSS member, you will also receive a membership in the HIMSS KC Heart of America local chapter (or chapter of your choice) at no additional cost.

HIMSS' fiscal year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30 of each year. All memberships take effect on the day the application is processed and expire on June 30 every year. Applicants are required to submit payment for a full year of membership with their applications and will pay discounted / prorated dues for their second year of membership.

Membership Dues:

• Regular (reside inside US or Canada) - $140.00

• International (reside outside of the US) - $195.00

• Student (Full time) - $30.00

• Local Membership Only - $30.00
