Speaker: John Pitsikoulis, RHIA, Strategic Advisory Services Client Executive
About our Speaker:
John Pitsikoulis is a Strategic Advisory Services Client Executive and ICD-10 Practice leader at CTG Health Solutions (CTG). John is responsible for the development of strategic advisory services for the ICD-10 and revenue cycle practice including the identification of industry solutions, methodology development and oversight for the development of new service offerings. These service offerings and initiatives include ICD-10 Preparedness Assessment, Implementation and Mitigation services, and CDI-10 EMR documentation management program.
A senior consultant with over 25 years of Health Information Management (HIM), coding, compliance and hospital revenue cycle consulting experience. Mr. Pitsikoulis has extensive experience working on RAC engagements, hospital performance improvement initiatives, case mix index analysis, revenue cycle performance improvement, clinical documentation improvement, coding quality infrastructures implementation and charge capture engagements. In addition, he has directed numerous national engagements involving clinical management, including case management, ED patient throughput, clinical quality assessments and clinical documentation improvement programs. He has also directed national engagements involving litigation advisory assistance, including OIG investigations, corporate integrity agreement engagements, and independent review organization engagements.
Mr. Pitsikoulis is on the Editorial Board of the ICD10Monitor website. The ICD10Monitor website is a major repository and listserv for the latest
ICD-10 information. Additionally, he is a frequent contributor to the RACMonitor website. John is a frequent presenter/panelist on “Talk Ten Tuesday”, a live national webinar panel discussion on pertinent ICD-10 issues and concerns.
Topic:
John will discuss the challenges and opportunities for healthcare organizations surrounding the implementation of ICD10 followed by a question and answer period.
